Our Honeycomb Thermal Shield is designed specifically to protect the objective lens of thermal devices against direct BB impacts during airsoft use.

The stainless-steel honeycomb mesh has been tested at point-blank range with BBs travelling at over 400 FPS, successfully stopping the impact while having virtually no noticeable effect on the thermal sensor’s image quality.

The honeycomb mesh is manufactured from stainless steel, providing excellent durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions.

The outer support ring is made from flexible rubber, which serves multiple purposes: it helps absorb impacts transferred through the mesh, provides a secure friction fit around the thermal unit, and protects the housing from scratches when installing or removing the shield for lens cleaning.

The attached picture shows the thermal unit with the shield installed, compared to the original honeycomb, the image is clearly superior and with a better ammount of protection.
